Four aluminium silos, fitted with load cells, have been installed for a major food company in the North of England. Each silo has a height of 22 metres and a diameter of 3.5 metres, holding 85 tonnes of flour. Special features of these silos include a half penthouse on each vessel, designed to provide a safe working environment for personnel carrying out maintenance activities at height.

Barton Fabrications latest UK twin silo installation is a large single silo fitted with static blender plus a twin compartment 'piggyback' silo. Both silos are 15 metres high with a 4 metre diameter and have been installed as part of a plastics feedstock supply system.
