Dawn Foods Selects Barton Silo

Dawn Foods, the US owned global bakery products manufacturer, is the latest customer to order a new ATEX compliant insulated silo from Barton Fabrications. The 12m silo, shipped in June 2005, will replace a non ATEX compliant un-insulated vessel used to store sugar at the Evesham site.

Mark Barton, MD of Barton Fabrications, said: "The silo order is one of a growing number of shipments made as bakeries realise that the ATEX 137 compliance deadline of 30th June 2006 is fast approaching. In addition to full ATEX compliance and supporting documentation, the silo also features new design and insulation materials."

Benefits of Barton Fabrications' food silo technology, as supplied to Dawn Foods, include minimising vessel wall cold spots and reduced risk of insect infestation.
